Hermes S/S 14

Today we're going to talk about Hermes new line for spring and summer 2014! I personally have never been all that into Hermes before but this season is something quite delicious. The whole line is very sharp and put together. There is also a refreshing air about it with the flowy baggy fit and bright colours, and head to toe floral (of course) three things I love. The collection is truly stunning.

and

I would so wear this! It looks so beautiful and free spirited. And of it even looks comfortable.
I respect anyone who wears bright orange! Flawless! Orange is hands down the perfect summer colour.

Adopt bright yellows and oranges into your wardrobe for spring and summer, but also contrast with a touch of nudes, pastels, and soft tones.
Which is your favourite?

That's all for now. TaTa x

SASSY IS HERE!!!

Hello, hola, bonjour!
I am this mysterious new blogger, here to add some new perspectives onto this fabulous blog.
I decided that the best way to introduce myself would be to present to you darling people one of my favourite designers and a collection. This'll give you a helpful insight into my fashion and an insight into me! (As cheesy as that sounds).
But just quickly some basic information... My name is Saskia, I'm 17 and going into Uni this year. I will be studying art foundation, strongly focusing on fashion of course, and i live in London. Taadaa all done, now onto the exciting part.

Zuhair Murad Fall 2013 Haute Couture

Oh jeeze, do i even need to say anything! I mean lets just take a moment to look at these stunning dresses... I can honestly say that each one takes my breath away. Theres a sultry sophistication that Murad just seems to get on point with his designs which is completely contradictory to other couture designers like Christophe Josse and Ulyana Sergeenko. I mean you could put on any of these dresses and look both sexy AND classy as hell. Lets just put it this way.... If i could be buried in any dress in the world, it would be one of his.

This image here is a prime example of Murad’s unique style. The dress itself is remarkable, using the placement of the gold to add dimension and movement to the gown. This gives a sensational reality to the dress, and by this i mean it seems as if the model is draped in glitter and not fabric. Although the presentation of skin is sparse, the areas that are being shown are particularly riskaaay.

Wow i realise that was probably not the most exciting paragraph! But hey i can get a bit carried away sometimes (Fashion BTEC student right here people) Anyway words can barely do this collection justice so i'm just going to leave it here and let you finally go! Hope this was a helpful introduction :D

Talk to you soon Maddi minions <3 xxx

Dolce Gabbana: what madi thinks

Before we look at the coming S/S 2014 season lets take a moment to reflect on A/W 13/14 where the beauty of Sicily served as their source of inspiration

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are my Gods. They are creative geniuses, their clothes are beyond anything else on this planet. Now lets look toward the future...

I went crazy watching the runway video.  Everything was perfect, it looked like a dream walking down the runway. Wearing those clothes you must feel like you are living a fairy tale. The Sicilian inspiration was used yet again and seems to have payed off. The Greek influence on the island was a main feature of inspiration and you can pin point in some of the prints used. It is truly artwork. I admire the craftsmanship and elegance of the whole collection.
When this dress came down the run way my hands started flailing and i started screaming (not that loud though cause it was like 3am when i watched it) But seriously its ineffable, i cannot summon  words to  express how incredible and beautiful this dress is! It was my  number one piece from the collection.
Here are a few more of my favorites

Dolce and Gabbana continue to impress me with their eyes for detail. The headbands and heels from A/W 2014 were unbearably perfect and only unbearably because i know i can't have them. This coming season is yet another bullet in my heart because the shoes, head wear and jewellery were all so delicious, seriously they look so good i want to eat them.

The show ended in their traditional style with all the models marching downs the runway, in a swarm of gold this time that was so dreamy and opulent.
I am now so excited to see what they will do next! Thank you Jesus for Stefano and Domenico.

S/S 2014:What Madi thinks: Alice and Olivia

Hey buttercups, today i am going to talk to you about the Alice and Olivia Summer/Spring 2014 collection, so lets jump in!
Stacey Bendet always comes out with the most gorgeous feminine, fresh and utterly desirable lines for Alice and Olivia, since she founded it in 2002. And this coming season, S/S 2014 is no exception. I just wanna share some of the looks that i personally loved. And even though there is no way under the sun i will own any of these clothes or outfits I still sit here lusting after them. Sooooo lets get our eye balls on these looks shall we..
Okay okay, let me just say i am a lover of the long skirt so automatically this rocks for me. keeping the colour's simple but the pattern exciting is genius and then adding that yellow bag, that's a home run in my book.
I've never seen a denim jacket like this before and i want it!!!  muted pastel tones are so spring, gahh. And collars are always a winner, you just look that bit more intelligent and put together.

This is wild, even though it is just white and white. How many people do actually see walking down the street head to toe all in white? Not that many if any. Asides from the daring colour choice those trousers are beautifully tailored. I need to invest in some!

YAY! more full and long skirts. I've been seeing these high necked crop tops all over the place and they look pretty good on most bodies. Paired like this with a longer skirt makes it look classy instead of trashy, as a shirt like that could look if you had paired it with a tiny little skirt. But if you're going for that trashy look then go for it! I am a believer in both the trash and the class.
Pattern, yes! Matching jacket and trousers, yes! Yellow shoes, Heck yes! Add some leather, asdfghjk!

I don't even need to say anything about this.

And from the pre collection...
I am really obsessed with these strappy heels. I dream of the day that i have strappy heels like this on my feet.

That's all i gotta say about this collection. If you want to see the full collection you can probably find it if you google Alice and Olivia s/s 2014 or look on the website, and both Vogue.co.uk and Elle.co.uk always have images of the full collections.
Love you bunnies x
